The authors of the project have wondered whether the different chemical composition of cold coffee from the hot coffee. Iced coffee is prepared with a more complex recipe with several steps. So far no extensive research regarding its effects on the body was conducted.
New work by scientists shows that hot copisteria a more significant concentration of antioxidants than cold coffee. It is the antioxidants responsible for coffee’s inherent beneficial properties for human health, the researchers note.
However, some coffee companies claim that iced coffee can be more desirable for people with stomach problems as less acidic than hot. But the study, researchers from the USA showed that the pH, or acidity as hot and cold coffee are the same, and, therefore, both beverages with equal success can cause the same heartburn.
Noting the advantages of hot coffee for health, the researchers noticed that there are other “documented studies showing that hot coffee has some health benefits, including lower risk of some cancers, diabetes and depression.”
According to Medicforma, the antioxidants in coffee, have a powerful positive effect: due to their influence, lower risk of colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, skin and ovaries. In addition, coffee is able to significantly improve the health of the liver.
